Inside the historic Mill House in Hobsonville Point lives Bear Park’s newest centre. This beautiful waterfront property, with amazing sea views and an acre of park-like grounds, has been re-designed as a purpose-built facility to serve the growing number of families in the area. This truly is a centre you have to see to believe!
Due to one of our amazing teachers going on maternity leave, we are looking for a qualified teacher to join us full time in our ‘Moreporks’ room with our 16 month – 2 year olds. This is a fixed-term position for six months. Our Moreporks are in our beautiful new building with just 13 children and ratios of 1:4. With natural, large garden spaces we provide a wonderful learning environment, supported by an experienced and close-knit team. We have a lovely community of parents who work in partnership with us.
Bear Park are widely known as a place where teachers and students can embrace individual learning opportunities, show their creativity and be guaranteed regular support from our both our Centre Directors and greatly experienced pedagogical team. We aim to encourage within our children a sense of respect for ourselves, others, and our environment. We believe strongly in the role the environment plays as the third teacher and so incorporate it actively into our resources and learning experiences in line with the Reggio Emilia philosophy.
Bear Park is the premier early learning provider in New Zealand, with over 37 years of experience. Founded, owned and operated by teachers, we offer a wide range of unique benefits for our kaiako.
At Bear Park we are Inspiring Lifelong Learners. Our philosophy is proven, our vision is inspired and our children are changing the world. Join us today and be part of the change.
To discuss this role further, or if you are looking for something else, please email me at [email protected].
We can’t wait to hear from you!
