Our Centre
Inside the historic Mill Hill House in Hobsonville Point lives Bear Park’s newest centre. The beautiful waterfront property, with amazing sea views and an acre of park-like grounds, has been re-designed as a purpose-built facility to serve the growing number of families in the area.
With years of history woven through the walls, our centre provides all with a connection to the past, the present and the endless possibilities of the future. Our children are invited to explore and play through a variety of large open spaces and intimate areas. The nurturing, family-like environment, with richly resourced spaces and open-ended learning experiences, serves to provoke each child’s individual expression. Children are invited to freely explore and experiment, or to carry out in-depth explorations in smaller groups, allowing every child to feel nurtured and supported in a learning journey unique to them.
Our outdoor spaces are extensions of our indoor ones, and we actively encourage respect for the natural environment. We take great pride in our community and have forged strong connections through our regular excursions along the coastal walkway that invitingly meanders past our front door.
A Strength In Relationships
We believe in the power of creating strong, respectful relationships with children, whānau and the world around us.
Our Children
The strength of our tukana-teina (older-younger) relationships allow us to develop strong, meaningful connections with all our children.
Our Whānau
Through caring and trusting relationships, our whānau know they will always have a place at Bear Park Hobsonville.
Our Place
Our commitment to sustainability helps us to embrace our roles as Katiaki (guardians) of Papatūānuku (mother earth).
