Our Centre
In 1986, on St Heliers’ magical Maskell Street, Bear Park Childcare began. As the original Bear Park centre, we are extremely proud of our history and excited for our future.
Our teaching environments are spread between two houses on Maskell Street. Pre-schoolers have their own expansive space in which to grow and learn, while babies and toddlers are cared for in the infant toddler centre next door. Transitional periods are smooth and organic; children can rely on the familiarity of both buildings as they grow older and move from one space to another. Shaded outdoor areas, mature trees and well-established gardens are in abundance, to create a variety of learning environments – inviting children to explore, create and imagine every day.
The Bear Park mission – to create a home away from home – is very much in motion in our St Heliers centres. With our committed and passionate teaching team, our positive connections with the wider community and the loyalty of our Bear Park families, our St Heliers centres serve as an inspiration for many other Bear Park locations.
